Hosting Issues Resolved!Posted by Kristopher Minter in Untagged |
|
For the last 2 weeks or so, we have been facing some issues with one of our hosting providers (who's name shall remain anonymous). We were looking to successfully host with this company because of the massive amount of hosting space that we could obtain along with some extremely high bandwith. Come to find out that there are some compatibility issues with the implementation of our content management software. The interesting part was how this "anonymous" company claimed to have superior hosting services for our needs...but then again...Who doesn't claim that?...Anyway, we have successfully discovered the changes through gaining some deeper insight on the company's mySQL databases. Once when finished troubleshooting, we were able to create our cleaner, and more simplified version 3.0 of SuperGeekMedia.com - (hence, the website you are viewing)...By the way, if you think that the image transitions taking place on the main page are animated using Adobe Flash, think again. We have been looking deeper into new technologies that will offer Flash equivalent animations with faster loading times and virtually identical effects without any of the browser compatibility issues...It's simply brilliant!
